Steady inshore action and solid nearshore bites across Port Richey
Pithlachascotee River - Pasco, FL
The inshore bite around Port Richey has been strong this week, with steady action across the grass flats and mangrove edges. Redfish continue to feed well on live shrimp and cut bait, especially during the morning tide swings. Anglers also found solid speckled trout on soft plastics and popping cork setups along deeper channels. Snook showed good activity around structure, responding best to live baits worked with a slow, natural presentation.
Nearshore, conditions have lined up nicely for snook and mangrove snapper around rock piles and ledges. Light tackle and shrimp proved highly effective, producing consistent hook-ups for guests looking for a relaxing day on the water. Weather has remained comfortable, creating ideal fishing windows throughout the day and keeping rod-bending moments coming.
Salt Bird Charters & Tours is focused on helping anglers enjoy a smooth, exciting trip full of tight lines and memorable catches across our local waters. Whether you are chasing your first redfish or dialing in on a trophy snook, Port Richey continues to deliver reliable action and great opportunities for both seasoned anglers and families.
